Interior Designer Tips

From choosing the colors in your bedroom to remodeling the kitchen, to picking the lighting to redesigning the kids’ bathroom, make sure you establish your requirements first by seeing things from a practical and creative view. This is Part Deux of Interior Design Tips That Come In Handy. If you haven’t checked out Part 1 already, I’d highly recommend that for starters.

As you think about redesigning a part of your house or the whole thing, remember, form and function both play an equally vital role in interior design. Try to grasp the ideas behind the art of interior design in order to give your home the lasting complete makeover of your dreams. Again, I repeat, make sure you do your research by finding great interior design ideas and tips before you proceed with the process.

A Few More Interior Design Tips That Will Come In Handy…Now for the Creative Spin

Add a creative touch by including a few good pictures and artwork to give the room some spice.
Do not, I repeat, do not compromise on your lighting options. It’s all about the light. Add a few chandeliers or sconces to add that extra lighting effect. The most uninspiring houses are dull and dark.
If you are into rugs at all, hand knotted or wool area rugs look great and function well.
Still in need of some aesthetic excitement? Add some life to your house (and extra oxygen) by adding a few simple plants and show pieces.
Going green is in and may save you some money! Eco-friendly items like reclaimed wood, furniture, cloth fabrics, and even energy efficient light bulbs are some of the trendiest in design.
Vintage d├ęcor pieces always catch the eye and are great conversation pieces.
If you want a powerful change in the tone and ambiance of a room, bring in the colors! Go study the effects of colors before choosing your finals
The trendiest colors of 2011 are: Honeysuckle, Coffee, Vintage Wine, Citrus Yellow, Black Pearl, Spicy Brown, Indigo.

As with all art, interior designing, knows no limits. Have fun with your project, stretch your design project to the max, and go the distance. Follow the trends or be a trend setter.
